My Journey

Dr. Amy Brandon known as “Dentist Amy” or “Dr. Amy” to her patients, has been successfully practicing dentistry for over ten years.  The journey to becoming a pediatric dentist began at a young age but took decades to accomplish.

Initially born and raised in the eastern farming planes of Colorado, Dr. Amy grew up with childhood aspirations of becoming a veterinarian.  However, after her family moved to the big city of Phoenix Arizona, her career aspirations changed after a childhood injury in the family swimming pool.  After improperly attempting to perform a diving back flip, her head failed to clear the edge of the board leading to a concussive hit which split her chin and orally fractured multiple primary "baby" and permanent "adult" teeth.   This diving accident lent to the need for multiple medical and dental procedures.  The kind and supportive pediatric dentist who nurtured the repair of her oral health not only restored her dental function but inspired her to become the compassionate professional she is today!   Her passion for sports was undeterred by the incident and a spark of interest to peruse medicine had begun.   Dr. Brandon completed her pre-medical/dental training under a full ride athletic scholarship at the University of Denver.  She then narrowed her focus and continued her education at the University of Southern California studying at the Ostrow School of Dentistry.   Utilizing the accolades she received while attaining her doctorate in dentistry, Dr. Amy Brandon then proceeded to further her focus and passion in oral health to the specialty of treating children.  After completing her pediatric residency program, she relocated to Northern California and has since called the San Fransisco East Bay area her home.  On her personal time Dr. Brandon likes to exercise, go on hikes, watch movies, read, knit, throw pottery, and play with her beloved cat, Rusty.  Dr. Brandon enjoys watching the SF Giants and USC  football, but her original athletic passion was her involvement in gymnastics.  Dr. Amy looks forward to meeting your children and is excited to serve the surrounding community and their oral health care needs!
